  4. Thank you! The consolidation is much easier for me too.

This is not related to SWAK, but about Hawick Lau's other dramas. Have you watched Chong Shen Men? I don't understand Chinese much, but the trailer looks really interesting.

  5. @anonymous:

I never watched Chong Shen Men. To be honest, SWAK is the first drama I've seen of Hawick in 10 years. I was never really impressed with his acting during his TVB days, so he never managed to give me a good imprint in my head until his role as Mo Shaoqian. I've only gained more respect for him after his convincing portrayal as Mo Shaoqian.

    1. same ... in TVB his acting roles didnt appeal to me until now ... i think also his grow older and wiser and more man .. so leading roles like this suits him

  6. I agree with you Jole. After I watched SWAK, I got hooked and impressed with Hawick acting not knowing who he is until found out lately that he was the Lau Dan's son. I love and like his role as Mo Shoqian.

  22. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I found your blog after watching SWAK on youtube. I've fallen in loves with the book now because of your translations. You're truly very talented at translating! My Chinese level isn't that amazing, so I can only understand about 80% of the Chinese text. Sometimes when I don't understand a phrase and I then read your translation, it stuns me how uniquely but perfectly you captured the essence of the Chinese text. Anyways, excellent work!

  25. Watching SWAK and then reading the epilogue online got me started reading the translations of c-novels. I found your site and read the 3 chapters of SWAK. Even though there are many c-novels to read online and I am sure I have enough to be busy, I still really want to read this one. I hope you will continue this project one day. thank you for what you have done so far. It was the different tone of the epilogue to the drama that first whetted my curiosity. I am still curious as to how this plays against the darker events.
